Thanksgiving weekend.....the pumpkin patch

As I've previously mentioned, I do like my pumpkins, so this year we decided to take Seb to a proper pumpkin patch to pick a prize specimen for us to carve for Halloween. We dragged Mandy, Kelly and Hunter along to Prairie Gardens just north of Edmonton and had a fun but chilly morning on the farm.
We awoke to a white and frosty Saturday morning in Beaumont. It was a chilly -1 when we set off in the happy bus for the pumpkin patch.....Bbrrrrrrrrr!
Glittery frost on the hot tub lid.
Crammed into the happy bus. Seb's eyes already glued to to the DVD.
We arrived at the pumpkin patch early and, as usual, Neil made friends immediately.

Hunter checking out the pumpkins.

He chooses a nice small one. Easy to carry unlike ours as you'll see later.

Hunter and Kelly in the haunted house.

Goats bottoms.
Hunter herds the goats while it looks like Neil, in the background, is preparing to mount one......

Surprise, surprise......he did mount a goat.

Mandy looses Hunter in the corn maze.

Neil chasing a stray goat. Poor thing, it was terrified!

Alpacas!

Seb helps Daddy choose a pumpkin to be launched in the pumpkin canon.

After receiving some advise from a passing six year old boy, Neil decides on the perfect pumpkin to launch from the canon. If he hits the target we get a years free food at Boston Pizza!

Ready, Aim.........

FIRE!!

He missed.

Then Kelly gets a try...

And after a serious discussion on what angle to aim the cannon he also misses.

Can you spot Neil amongst the pumpkins??

Ahhh! scary! Neil with hair!

Seb and Hunter have fun in the wagon.

Oh Neil, we can't take you anywhere!

Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere! Which one do we choose?

The biggest and the best of course!!

Getting it back to the car is the challenge. Poor Seb get's chucked out of his stroller because he weighs less than the pumpkin.

What a beauty!
