Neil's new pool!

So, everyone knows that Neil has wanted to buy one of those inflatable pools for ages. Well, I finally gave in and bought him one. I think he was hoping for something a little bigger!

DISCOVERY WILDLIFE PARK

INNISFAIL........Near CALGARY

Barney is a strapping teenage male kodiak already quite massive in size, weighing 1000 lbs. and standing 7 1/2 ft. tall. He was very well-behaved while standing behind Sophie, Seb and I. If I was him I would have had a nibble. Barney appreared in the feature films "Grizzly Falls" and “Anchorman” and the TV series “Shoebox Zoo.” Commercials include the 2004 Super Bowl Pepsi ad, Rice Krispie Treats, Napa, Chevy Tahoe, American Express, Titleist Golf Balls and a Tennessee DUI Commercial.

That really is Barney! That close.......Pretty cool.

Sophie, Seb and I.........Whats behind us......YEAH Bears kissing awwwwwwww.

22 Degrees and this bear was HOT!

Sarah's Mum, Sarah and Sophie holding Seb up to the Tigers.....

This Tiger had something wrong with his skin, I think he had tiger Acne, hahah, not really this is chetera from Thundercats.

This was the animal that played pantera in Thundercats all those years ago. Remember? Yep still alive.

Press play.......This guy loved me, You can see by the way he wants to kiss me!

Kiss kiss

My child looks blind!

This guy looked all pissed off, I think he had the hump.....

By this point I was Hungary and if I had my Glock this one would have got a few rounds in the head.......get the Barbie going. I think Nigel and I would need a hand getting the dead beast over the fence. Would need a bloody big BBQ aswell.

Disclaimer.....No animals were harmed during the taking of this photo, What happened after is none of your business.

Whistler and Vancouver

The three of us spent this past weekend in Whistler and Vancouver. Despite a hectic Friday 13th journey (that we very nearly missed) we had an amazing time with perfect weather. We saw the ocean for the first time in a long time, ate yummy food, saw a bear, a shark, some chipmonks, a really cute newborn Beluga whale and lots of fishes. We can't wait to go back soon!

A bears bum.

Seb didn't much enjoy his chariot ride.

Spot the bear....

As we were returning to the village after our walk we spotted a bear on the path up ahead of us. The people just in front are just vearing off the path and onto the road to get out of it's way. We were pretty excited and couldn't get the camera out quick enough to get a decent picture. The photo below is a zoomed in version.

Lunch at The Pony in Pemberton. The yam fries were SO good we had to order more and Neil said his steak sandwich was the best he'd ever had!!

On the beach at Lost Lake.

Strolling in the village.

Nice helmet!

I like this photo, Neil was trying to set the timer but it went off a little too soon.

Cow's ice cream, mint chocolate chunk.....mmmm!!

A nice totem.

We spent Sunday afternoon in Stanley Park and Seb had his dinner sitting on the beach listening to the waves crashing in and watching cruise ships and speed boats go by. It was so nice to smell the sea again!

We got around Vancouver Aquarium in record time having arrived only an hour before it closed!

Getting lost in Vancouver traffic on the way back to the airport.

Ratty, with his sick bag at the ready, gets strapped in ready for take off.

Trying to contain Seb on the plane. He was charming all the cabin crew with his smiles but I don't think Neil minded the attention.

Bye bye Pacific Ocean!
