Easter Sunday...

For the second year running we spent a relaxing Easter Sunday with the Headleys. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend the day at Emerald Lake like last year but we had a lovely day none the less. We all enjoyed a never-ending brunch at a local hotel. I had my absolute favorite breakfast of eggs benedict. In fact it was so good I ate it twice. Neil and Nigel ate several plates of just about everything on offer, eggs, steak, sausages, turkey, potatoes. Nigel even managed to top it off with the most enormous piece of chocolate cake ever! After completely stuffing ourselves and then sitting for a rather long time we decided the only way we would begin to digest our huge feast was to take the dogs for a nice walk. So off we all went to the off-leash park where Doog and Jenna had great fun jumping around in the slushy, stagnant puddles. The walk was very refreshing but I'm not sure it was worth suffering the nasty wet dog smell for the rest of the day.

Sebastian is very into everything these days and particularly likes to watch us eat, he seemed to enjoy watching us all stuff our faces at brunch. He kept trying to touch everything and was quite fascinated by the daffodil on our table, he even knocked over Sarah's tea while trying to get to the flower.

Seb looks massive in this photo with Sarah, I think it's just the angle.

Trying to get at Daddy's second plate of food.

Seb and his Mummy.

It took a lot of effort to get both dogs to stay still for this shot.

Splashing in the icy puddles. We were pretty impressed that Doog went in the water, he's usually scared of it.

A nice shot of the Headley family.

Seb was so worn out after his walk, he crashed out on the sofa with Daddy.

NEILS BREAKFAST!

I noticed that Seb is growing into a little boy quicker than I could ever imagine, so I gave him the breakfast he deserves.

No animals were harmed in the making of this picture
pizza wasn't really served to a 4 month old baby.

Bouncin's what tigger's do best!

But Sebastian still hasn't figured out how.

Nigel and Sarah bought this for Seb for Christmas and he's finally big enough to use it. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to understand that he's supposed to bounce up and down. He does very much enjoy spinning, swaying and swinging though.

Sebastian's first girlfriend.....

Today the Giesbrecht's came over for lunch. Their youngest daughter Mercedes is just a few weeks younger than Seb and the two of them enjoyed chatting, in length, in baby-talk. Judging by the bouts of laughter and a bit of crying by both babies, their chat must have been quite deep and meaningful! Above you can see Seb looking longingly at Mercedes and even reaching out to her nervously. Unfortunately she seems to be giving him the cold sholder at this point.

Here's Neil, Dwayne, Sebastian and Mercedes. Once again Seb seems to be holding his hand out for Mercedes only to be ingnored!

Rub-a-dub-dub in the tub...

The hair is growing...

As you can see Seb's hair is finally growing. He now has enough to get bed head in the morning but not quite enough to style!

Doog and Sebastian seem to really like each other these days. Doog is very gentle around him and seems to always want to be near him. I took this photo this morning because Seb had actually rolled right onto Doog's paws and Doog didn't even flinch.

I thought this was a lovely shot of Seb but Neil says it makes him look like a cling-on. What do you think?

Aaaah...choo!

Bless you!

Professor Sebastian...

Sebastian has been developing new skills at an alarming rate over the last couple of weeks. The most impressive of these new skills is his ability to roll over. This started sometime last week, I would put him down on his tummy, turn around and when I looked back he'd be on his front. This happened quite a few times over the course of a day or two but he wouldn't actually roll over if I was looking. Eventually I witnessed a roll, very impressive! It's all about the legs, kind of a lift and spin action. Well now he's well practised and can easily roll from back to front and front to back. He has also discovered that his voice can work in many new and mostly loud ways. Every morning for the last few days he has made squealing sounds for over an hour at a volume never before reached! He seems to love it! There's also been a lot more babble in general, mostly "Oh...oh...oh" with the occasional "Maaaaaaaa!" but that only seems to come out when he's frustrated.
