Sleeping Beauty.....

Isobel's first days....

Isobel is now 6 days old. She's settled very well into the Ralston household and seems very relaxed and calm (unlike the rest of us at the moment!) Sebastian has had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the new and unpredictable routine brought about by the arrival of his little sister and has been throwing tantrums and refusing to do anything he normally would. He's slowly getting better and has even given Isobel a couple of big kisses.

Neil and his little girl....as you can see he's already taken on the role of overprotective Daddy!

The final week.....

Well, I'm now 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I've officially been pregnant for 18 hours longer than I was with Seb. I really thought we'd have our second little bundle of joy in our arms by now but apparently this little buba has other ideas. I've been feeling lots of contractions but nothing regular yet. I'm booked in to be induced on Wednesday so at the most we've only got another 3 days to wait!!

Valentine's day....

Oh what a romantic day we had! We awoke to the sounds of coughing and puking, poor little Seb was not at all well. He's had a cold and he was just so full of phlegm that every time he coughed he puked...a lot! Our day was spent on the sofa with sick bowls, snot-sucking tools and lots of tissues. We all had to change our clothes at least three times after being caught in Seb's firing range and the house is now scented with the underlying aroma of vomit. Poor little man! You'll be glad to hear that this morning he seems a lot better and, so far, no more puke! After our little sick boy was all tucked up in bed we did manage to have a nice romantic valentines dinner. Neil cooked one of my favorites, yummy beef wellington with honey parsnips and it was absolutely delicious! We even lit a couple of candles.

Cards and chocolates, what else do you need to make a perfect Valentines Day?....

A yummy home cooked beef wellington.....

Candlelight and two chilled glasses of water! Maybe next week I'll get a little glass of wine.
