A little piece of paradise....

On Monday we spent a night camping at Blue Meadows, a little piece of heaven just outside the city limits. True to our usual form it was totally unplanned and came about after a whirlwind half an hour packing the trailer and sorting out the kiddies with just enough time to get there for my meeting with a very nice family for whom I'd arranged to take some photos. (check out my stream photo blog for those pics). The place was empty , the only other sign of life was a small herd of deer, and a lone bat. After the nice family left it was like our own private estate! We had some dinner, put the kids to bed then Neil and I huddled by the camp fire listening to the sounds of the woods and watching a weird mist roll in around us. The next morning we sat outside for breakfast, went inside to get dressed and came back out to find Sully comfortably lounging under the trailer gobbling up a whole pack of bacon and a huge stick of butter. If nothing else this was a lesson learned, in BC it would've been a humongous bear gobbling our bacon!
