Shoveling.....

So, Dale arrived last Wednesday, on Friday it started to snow and it hasn't stopped since! I'm not really sure that Dale knows what to make of it all. We've been stuck inside for a few days now and today, to avoid cabin fever, Neil insisted that Dale venture out into the blizzard and help shovel the driveway. It turned into a bit of a snow fight with Dale the clear looser! In Neils winter gear he looked like Scot of the Antarctic!

Seb's half birthday....

Yesterday was Sebastian's half birthday. I can't believe he's already 6 months old! We celebrated with half a cake and half a birthday candle. We sang happy half birthday and had great fun playing with bubbles. I think Seb enjoyed himself despite not being able to eat any of his own cake, oh well all the more for Mummy, Daddy and Grandad!!

Seb meets Grandad!

Yesterday Seb finally got to meet his Grandad! Dale arrived last night and he and Seb immediately hit it off! It was so cute, both were full of smiles and seemed to be quite fascinated with each other. I think it's the beginning of a very special relationship!

After all the excitement from last night followed by a morning of showing Grandad what a good bouncer he is, Seb fell asleep in his tiggger jumper this morning! Aww!

What a day....

As predicted, today turned out pretty nice! I met up with Sarah and Mandy and we tested out "Marybeth's", the new coffee shop here in Beaumont. We had a lovely time and were quite impressed with our new neighborhood cafe. Weather-wise, it hit 20 degrees and as you can see from the photo below it seems it went to Neil's head somewhat. When I got home I found him in the garden preparing for a BBQ. He was dressed in decidedly summery attire (including surf shorts and flip flops) erecting the sun brolly. He is a hot weather sort of a person at heart and I think he secretly resents me for somehow tricking him into living in Northern Alberta where we have experienced 13 snowy months out of the last 18. Sheesh! Anyway we did BBQ and all enjoyed sitting outside for a change. Sebastian even had his first alfresco meal.

What a differance a few days makes!

I really can't understand the weather here, just a couple of days ago I was looking out the window watching the snow swirl around and everything was white and cold and now look at it! Last night Neil sat in the hot tub drinking a cold beer while Doog ran around sniffing the (nearly) green grass and Seb and I sat on the deck and enjoyed the warm sunshine. It's supposed to be 20 degrees today. Weird!

Out for lunch...

The only reason we go to Montana's is so that Neil can play with the crayons.

"But Daddy I want to keep the ketchup bottle."

"All-you-can-eat rib's please mam!"

Nothing like a good nap after a meal.

Just when we thought it was over......

I wake up to this.....

I can't believe it! The snow had pretty much all gone, the grass was begining to get a slight green tinge, I even remarked on how summery it felt the other day, and then we get a MEGA DUMP!! It's been snowing all night and there's a weather warning saying another 10-15 cm are expected today. Sheesh!

Wearing Daddy's watch and a trip to West Ed....

Sebastian seems to have lost interest in most of his toys and has developed a fascination with the phone, the TV remote and with peoples watches. When I got out of the shower today I discovered him wearing Neil's watch and looking very pleased with himself.

It's just a bit too big.

Not sure quite what was happening here, it looks like Neil is trying to control Sebastain like a puppet. If only he was that easy to control.

Neil and Seb pretending to climb a rock face or something.
